Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Misty and I am fundraising on behalf of myself and my husband, Scott. We’re looking for financial aid that may help us begin our journey of IVF. Unfortunately, we were notified recently that our insurance company would not be paying for any of our treatment. It was truly devastating news since we had held out hope that they would cover it. All of the tests that we’ve done so far have had positive outcomes so we have hopes that if we were able to have the chance to try IVF, we’d be able to have a child together.

I’d like to share a little of our love story & now our journey to become parents. We met on Match.com in late November 2015. In the early days, we texted & talked every day and developed a really good connection. We had our first date on December 2nd, 2015 and well, we’ve been together ever since. We are each other’s best friends, confidants and soul mates. On September 26th, 2022, the love of my life proposed to me at the very same restaurant where we had our very first date. After a whirlwind of wedding planning, we became husband & wife on October 28th, 2022. It was truly the wedding I always wanted, and he made all my dreams come true. Now, I would love to make one of his dreams come true. He has always wanted to be a father and I have always wanted to have a child with him.

In September 2020, I had surgery to fix an issue with my fallopian tubes so that we could try to conceive naturally. The surgery went well, but then about 6 months later, I found out that the left fallopian tube had failed. We never lost hope and have kept trying ever since. However now, IVF is our only hope to have a family.

The treatment plan that we received from our fertility specialist gave us an estimated cost of $16 – $20,000 for IVF. We know that’s a lot of money to pay to try to have a “miracle” child but we know that this is our last chance. It would be something that we’ll always regret if we don’t try to pursue our dream of having a child together. Any donations would go directly to our treatment.
